Every day, thousands of independent contractors on Onsiter do a search for relevant opportunities on the platform. Creating an assignment on Onsiter is one of the ways to let independent contractors know you are looking for certain expertise. Once you’ve posted your assignment, there are 3 ways to get relevant candidates to apply:
- Wait for independent contractors to find and apply for the role.
- Browse profiles on the Onsiter marketplace and invite contractors with relevant skills to apply.
- Request CVs of relevant experts from vendors in the Vendor Universe or your preferred vendor list.
To post your assignment, click on Assignments in the top menu.
- Enter the Assignment title.
2. Enter a short assignment description. Use the formatting options (Bold, Italics, Underline, and bullet points) to make your description easy to read.
Keep in mind that a well-crafted assignment description could be the difference between attracting relevant experts or the ideal expert. Ensure that your post has the details that will attract the expert you’re targeting.
3. Enter the Required skills and Required languages for the assignment.
4. Click next to enter Practical information about the assignment. This includes whether the assignment is remote, on-site, or a hybrid of both.
5. Enter the Target rate for the role. Candidates will see a notification if their rate exceeds your target rate and may adjust their asking price to meet your requirements.
Applicants will still be able to apply for the assignment and you will still be able to see their applications even if their rate is higher than your target rate.
6. Add any questions you might have that you’d like the contractor to answer. Keep in mind that they can only respond with a Yes or No.
7. Check the box Make private if you wish to manually search and invite applicants for the assignment.
8. Click Post assignment. Your assignment is now live and visible to the Onsiter marketplace.
That’s it! All you have to do now is sit back and wait for interested contractors on the Onsiter network to apply.
